Parliamentary initiative to change leadership of the Ministry of Social Policy

A draft resolution has been entered into the Verkhovna Rada register, providing for the removal of Denis Ulutin from the post of Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity. The document was signed by 19 MPs, the majority of whom belong to the Servant of the People faction.

Motives for the demand

The initiators cited the main reason for the dismissal as the minister, in their view, obstructing the implementation of legislative norms that clearly demarcate the powers of state authorities in the field of child protection. This initiative is linked to the establishment of the State Service of Ukraine for Children Affairs.

Position of the MPs

Pavlo Sushko, who is a member of the parliamentary committee on humanitarian and information policy and represents the Servant of the People faction, explained that such a sharp reaction was caused by the «катастрофічною ситуацією з насильством над дітьми в Україні» (catastrophic situation with violence against children in Ukraine).
