Rejection of nuclear strikes

United States President Donald Trump categorically ruled out the scenario of US military forces using nuclear weapons in the Middle East region. In a conversation with Politico, he emphasised that there are currently no prerequisites for the use of such weapons.

Commenting on possible actions against Tehran, the White House chief stated: "I don't need it. We have already eliminated 90% of them. So there is no need for it."

Readiness for escalation

Despite rejecting the nuclear option, Trump did not rule out expanding the scale of conventional military operations against Iran. He stressed that Washington's next steps would depend on the dynamics of events on the ground.

"We will look at the situation, and if we see an opportunity to take some action, we will do what is best for our country," the American leader added, noting that actions would be directed exclusively in the interest of national security.

Strategic vision and oil prices

Trump expressed confidence in the strategic correctness of his decisions regarding Iran, claiming that they serve the interests of both the US and the global community in the long term.

Although the current rise in oil prices is linked to the Iranian crisis, the US President is convinced that his steps are entirely justified from a long-term perspective.
