NABU publishes video of beatings by the "Mexican" gang

Release of evidence of violence

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) published new audiovisual materials documenting episodes of brutal beatings. These acts were organised by a criminal group known as the "Mexican". According to the investigation, this criminal group was protected by representatives of law enforcement agencies.

Details of documented attacks

In one of the provided recordings, the perpetrator reports beating a man with a hammer. According to him, as a result of the use of physical force, the victim's legs became "like rags".

The video footage also contains a scene of another attack: the victim was ambushed near a gym and beaten with a metal pipe.

Accusations against security services

NABU emphasises that the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police covered up such violent acts and helped organise them.
