Media declare Barbara Brylska dead

Following the spread of rumours about her death in the media, Polish actress Barbara Brylska commented on the situation and clarified that her health is in order. 

The star of "Irony of Fate" stated that information about her death was hastily disseminated due to confusion with another actress, Barbara Rylińska, who was indeed slightly older than her.

On 14 January, reports of an alleged tragedy appeared online, but the actress quickly debunked these rumours, explaining that she had been mistaken for a colleague. "Слухи о моем здоровье возникли из-за того, что меня перепутали с другой актрисой, – сообщила она в комментарии российскому Telegram-каналу. – Я – Брыльска, а её фамилия – Рыльская. Она была старше меня" (Rumours about my health arose because I was mistaken for another actress, – she said in a comment to a Russian Telegram channel. – I am Brylska, and her surname is Rylińska. She was older than me).

It is important to note that with the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Brylska stated that she no longer intends to visit Russia. She actively supports Ukraine and its people, and also expressed solidarity with colleague Liya Akhedzhakova, who is facing persecution in the Russian Federation for her pro-Ukrainian stance.

In addition, the Polish actress shared her negative impressions of the Russian reality, noting poverty in some cities in the country. In one of her interviews, she confessed that she felt horror when getting off a plane upon arriving in Omsk or Novosibirsk.
