Border pressure increases

The situation with the transit of goods through the Ukrainian-Polish border has worsened. Over the past months, the time required for crossing has increased significantly.

If carriers previously spent about 2–3 days on this procedure, waiting times for departure to Poland and entry into Ukraine now reach 7–9 days.

Warning from the government

This was stated by Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.

According to him, although the situation is somewhat better in some other directions, the general conditions for crossing the border have deteriorated.

Impact on energy security

The lengthening of queues affects logistics. This primarily concerns fuel imports: delays in vehicle movement complicate its supply to Ukraine.
