Bank ownership structure and its past

The history of "Crystalbank" dates back to December 2014, when it was established on the basis of the remnants of "Terra Bank". Currently, half of the shares belong to Maryna Lening, the wife of former Deputy Minister of Finance and former Acting Minister of Economy Vadym Kopylov. Kopylov himself holds the position of chairman of the supervisory board. The remaining share packages are distributed between Oksana Hrebinska (25.1%) and Leonid Hrebinsky (24.9%), who simultaneously heads the bank's management board.

Before the establishment of "Crystalbank", Maryna Lening was responsible for overseeing "Terra Bank". The future head of the NBU, Kyrylo Shevchenko, also featured in this bank's history. He owned 33% of the "Ukrainian Strategic Group", which controlled 99.21% of "Terra". Later, Shevchenko received a suspicion from the NABU and SAP in a case regarding the withdrawal of UAH 206 million from "UkrGazbank", left Ukraine and became a fugitive.

Financial operations scheme

Currently, "Crystalbank" is mentioned in materials concerning the financial operations of the group of Dmytro Ryvkin and Anton Skorobogatov. The mechanism is built on a chain of Ukrainian financial companies, importers, and foreign legal entities. Hryvnia flows to Ukrainian structures, is converted into foreign currency, after which the funds are sent to the Swiss company Done Switzerland AG. "Crystalbank" is named in the published documents as the bank that processed such payments.

One of the key links is the company Supply Chain Finance (SCF). In 2025, it issued bonds with a nominal value of UAH 180 million. Until 2026, 70% of SCF belonged to Ryvkin, and another 30% to the "KASL" fund, which was previously named "DANN GROUP". This structure also features the Polish KOOPERANT EUROPEJSKI and the Ukrainian companies "Globinex", "Motoroz Parts Ukraine", "Commodities", "Hamptons Trade", and "TBS".

Swiss level and cryptocurrency

Funds are moved to the Swiss level. Done Switzerland AG (CHE-363.272.422), which was previously called Alltag und Gerätetechnik, had Dmytro Ryvkin among its executives, who held individual signing rights. The company's documents recorded assets of CHF 30.33 million and liabilities of CHF 27.77 million.

Particular attention is drawn to the cryptocurrency operation. Three packages were contributed to the capital of the Swiss company: 504,376 USDT, 504,415 USDT, and 511,512 USDT. The total amount was 1,520,303 USDT. Shares were issued against this cryptocurrency, as a result of which the company's capital increased from CHF 520,000 to CHF 1.75 million. Thus, the cryptocurrency was transformed into a share of the Swiss legal entity.

Bank's financial condition and regulator's reaction

Meanwhile, "Crystalbank" itself remains a small player: at the beginning of 2026, its net assets amounted to approximately UAH 2.9 billion. In 2025, the bank incurred a loss of UAH 43 million, and the cost-to-income ratio (CIR) reached 109%. The National Bank of Ukraine has already applied measures of influence to the institution due to violations of requirements in the field of financial monitoring and countering the laundering of proceeds from crime.

In this banking story, specific names and amounts have intertwined: Kopylov heads the supervisory board, his wife Lening owns 50% of the shares; Leonid Hrebinsky manages the bank and, together with Oksana Hrebinska, holds the other half; Ryvkin and Skorobogatov are linked to the DANN group; SCF placed bonds for UAH 180 million; funds flowed to Done Switzerland AG; 1.52 million USDT was deposited into the capital of the Swiss company.

Thanks to this connection — Ukrainian hryvnia, linked financial companies and importers, currency purchase, transfer to Switzerland, cryptocurrency, and share issuance — the money acquires a different legal form and moves under a different jurisdiction. At the same time, the bank through which the described payments passed had previously already received measures of influence from the NBU specifically on the line of financial monitoring.
