Information about the relevant order was published in the electronic procurement system Prozorro. The total value of the contract, signed on 5 October 2026, is 10,184,400 hryvnia, including VAT. This means that the cost of armoring one vehicle is estimated at 3,394,800 hryvnia. The cost of the base vans themselves, which were handed over for modernization, was 1,318,670 hryvnia per unit.
The contractor selected to carry out the work is Krypton Scientific and Implementation Firm LLC. The company was engaged directly through a negotiation procedure. This decision is linked to the fact that no participants submitted any applications to the previous tender, which had been announced earlier.
In accordance with the terms of the agreement, the deadline for completing the work is 15 December of the current year.

In the engine compartment, the installation of anti-shrapnel protection is provided for, specifically a ballistic mat of the Kevlar type. The engine control unit and the battery are protected to the PZSA-3 class, while ensuring quick access to them for maintenance, ventilation, or heat exchange. The engine, gearbox, and fuel tank are protected by metal plates made of stamped steel 2.5 mm thick, which have an anti-corrosion coating and technical hatches.
It is also planned to reinforce the spring front suspension, the leaf springs of the rear suspension, as well as the braking system of the front and rear axles. All elements made of armor steel must undergo anti-corrosion treatment.
Inside each van, five wall-mounted folding passenger seats equipped with seatbelts will be installed. Two overhead handrails will be placed along the cabin. Finishing with soft materials (carpet) is provided for, as well as the securing of soft evacuation stretchers.
The vehicles will be equipped with a 360-degree view camera system, which includes a night vision camera and a shock-resistant monitor. For safety in the engine compartment, an automatic fire extinguishing system with the possibility of forced activation by the driver will be installed.
Detailed information about Krypton Scientific and Implementation Firm LLC is restricted in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1257 dated 03.10.2025. This document establishes the procedure for the temporary closure of public access to data on enterprises of the defense-industrial complex during the period of martial law. It is only known that the firm is registered in Kyiv.
