Drone hits humanitarian vehicle
On the morning of 19 October, a Russian FPV drone attack occurred near the village of Novoandriivka in Synelnykove district. The drone targeted a STEEL armoured evacuation pickup carrying out a humanitarian mission.
As reported by the charitable organisation "KHTS", two volunteers from Dnipro were in the vehicle at the time of the strike. Fortunately, neither was injured, although the vehicle sustained damage.
Increasing risks for volunteers
"KHTS" emphasised that even humanitarian vehicles with appropriate markings, used to rescue civilians, are becoming targets of Russian attacks. Consequently, volunteers transporting people out of dangerous areas regularly risk their lives.
Due to such attacks, opportunities for evacuating people from frontline communities are gradually narrowing, and working in these areas is becoming increasingly dangerous. People who delay their departure risk finding themselves in a situation where organising an evacuation will be significantly more difficult or entirely impossible.
