Medvedev vows to detain Americans and Europeans to swap for Zvynchuk

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, publicly promised that Moscow would begin detaining citizens of the United States and European Union countries on Russian territory. According to him, these measures are necessary to replenish the “exchange fund,” which will allow for the swap of Russian citizens held abroad, specifically Mykhailo Zvynchuk, the administrator of a public channel detained in Montenegro.

Medvedev’s stance on Western citizens

In his statement, Medvedev expressed the conviction that Russia would have to replenish its prisoner exchange reserve at the expense of foreigners. “Most likely, we will now have to replenish the exchange fund at the expense of European and American idiots in order to free our own,” he stated.

The politician also claims that a “hunt” has effectively been declared in the European Union against all Russian citizens. According to his version, any Russian can be arrested, especially if they express views that Medvedev qualifies as the truth about Western countries, the EU, and, as he put it, the “Banderite neo-Nazi regime”.
