Appeal to US leadership

Dmitry Medvedev, who holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, published a statement addressed to US President Donald Trump. In it, he proposed that the American leader task the relevant agencies, specifically the Pentagon and the CIA, with the mission to "fix the unpleasant misunderstanding". Medvedev named Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as the object of this "fixing". Such wording can be interpreted as a hint at the possible physical elimination of the Ukrainian head of state.

List of accusations

In his text, Medvedev claims that Zelensky has "taken a serious bite out of Trump" and is "being rude to him in full measure". Among the main grievances, the Russian politician highlighted the Ukrainian leader's support for Joe Biden, as well as regular appeals to Washington for financial and military aid.

In addition, Medvedev expressed dissatisfaction with Zelensky's rejection of US proposals to start peace negotiations and cease shelling Russian oil refineries. The representative of the Russian leadership also accused the Ukrainian president and his entourage of embezzling US funds and creating a threat of nuclear conflict between the Russian Federation and NATO. It is worth noting that no evidence to substantiate these claims was provided in the publication.

Comparison with other countries and a proposed "solution"

Medvedev also claims that Zelensky allegedly regularly ignores Trump's calls and encourages influential politicians in the US and Europe to adopt a hostile attitude towards the American president. According to Medvedev's assessment, the damage the Ukrainian leader inflicts on Trump's interests exceeds the combined damage from Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran.

"What should Trump do with such a 'bitchy son of his own'? The answer is in American history. He just needs to summon the Secretary of War and the Director of the CIA and instruct them to fix this unpleasant misunderstanding. The method, place, and manner do not matter," Medvedev wrote.

Thus, in his post, he used wording that hints at the possibility of using violent actions against the President of Ukraine.
