Rotation in senior positions

After Mykhailo Drapatyi took command of the officer reserve battalion, significant personnel purges occurred within the military structure. According to sources, several dozen colonels, brigade generals, and other officers have already been transferred to the reserve.

An insider familiar with internal processes stated that a reserve replenishment of this scale had not been observed before. Specifically, approximately 15 officers working in the General Staff's international cooperation department were dismissed from their posts and transferred to the reserve in a single day.

Key command positions among those dismissed

Among the officers sent to the reserve are the following individuals:

  • Oleksii Maistrenko, commander of the 11th Corps;
  • Oleksandr Bakulin, commander of the 19th Corps, whom sources describe as Syrskyi's favourite, who practised methods similar to those in "Skela";
  • Andrii Malynovskyi, commander of the missile forces and artillery, who previously supported Syrskyi;
  • Oleksandr Nesterenko, deputy commander of the Ground Forces.

Commanders' reaction and the return of "insiders"

According to interlocutors, Oleksii Maistrenko learned of his dismissal from the media. During a video conference, he addressed the leadership with the question: "А це правда, що мене знімають?" (Is it true that they are removing me?).

Meanwhile, in parallel with the dismissals, some officers who were previously sidelined from military management are returning to leadership positions. In particular, Serhiy Sobko, who, according to sources, has a trusting relationship with the Commander-in-Chief, and Emil Ishkulov are mentioned.
