Businessman demands clarification of the situation
Ihor Kolomoisky publicly stated that he seeks an official explanation from Andriy Yermak, who previously headed the Presidential Office. The trigger for this was the statements made by Serhiy Leshchenko, a presidential adviser, who claimed that Yermak was involved in the businessman's arrest.
Kolomoisky provided comments to journalists while in the courtroom.
Ignored letters and Leshchenko's version
According to Kolomoisky, he and members of his entourage have been writing letters to Yermak, but have not received any replies. The businessman emphasised that the former head of the Presidential Office is not responding to these appeals.
Attention has focused on previous statements made by Serhiy Leshchenko, in which it was suggested that Andriy Yermak took part in the process of Kolomoisky's arrest, as well as in the confiscation of Viktor Medvedchuk's assets.
“Andriy Borysovych Yermak put me in prison”
Kolomoisky said that until this point, he had been convinced that his case was being handled by the court, the prosecutor's office, the Bureau of Economic Security, and the police. However, in his view, following Leshchenko's remarks, it appeared that Yermak played the key role in the decision to arrest him.
“I thought it was the court, the prosecutor's office, the BES, and the police, but it turns out that Andriy Borysovych Yermak put me in prison,” the businessman stated.
Doubts about bypassing instructions
At the same time, Kolomoisky questioned the possibility that Yermak could have achieved such results by bypassing certain instructions. He stressed that he wants to verify whether Leshchenko actually made such claims.
The businessman also explained why he did not file a lawsuit against Leshchenko over these statements. According to him, the reason is that Leshchenko performs the functions of an adviser or consultant to Yermak.
It is worth noting that the statement provided by Kolomoisky lacks verified evidence that Yermak played a personal role in the businessman's arrest.
