Strike on missile system in Kursk region

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released data on successful operations by defence forces on 29 October and during the night of 30 October. One of the targets was a launcher for the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system, which was deployed near the city of Fatezh in Russia's Kursk region.

Military command noted that the strike took place in the area of ballistic missile reloading. Such damage to infrastructure limits the enemy's ability to carry out missile attacks on Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure.

Attack on Russian logistics base in the east

In addition to the missile launcher, Ukrainian units struck a number of ammunition depots in temporarily occupied territories. Specifically, targets were identified in the following settlements:

  • Maloyanisole (Donetsk region);
  • Novoyehorivka (Kharkiv region);
  • Hanusivka (Luhansk region).

A depot of material and technical resources near Bilovodske in Luhansk region was also hit. These facilities are used to supply Russian troops with ammunition and other resources.

Weakening enemy repair capabilities

Defence forces also attacked infrastructure intended for the restoration of military equipment. The General Staff confirmed the damage to a repair unit in the Rubizhne area (Luhansk region) and a repair and restoration base near Pysaryivka (Luhansk region).

Damage to such facilities makes it difficult for the Russian army to return damaged equipment to service, which directly affects the enemy's combat capabilities.

Strategic significance of the strikes

The comprehensive strike on missile weapons, logistics and repair facilities is aimed at weakening the combat capabilities of the Russian army. The General Staff emphasised that such actions will continue until the complete cessation of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.

The exact scale of damage to the targeted facilities is currently not specified.
