Absence of specific deadlines in working documents

Sources in the European Union reported that the “roadmaps” being prepared for Ukraine and Moldova will not include indicative dates for the completion of the EU accession negotiation process. Consequently, the documents will not establish specific deadlines by which these countries must conclude the negotiations.

Position of EU sources

A source told the publication “Yevroprava”: “As of now, no dates for the possible completion of EU accession negotiations are planned to be set for Ukraine and Moldova.” Another source clarified that during the week preceding the publication of the enlargement package, approaches to forming the roadmaps may change. Therefore, according to the source, “no version can be considered final at this stage.”
