Weather conditions affect air defence effectiveness

Ukrainian presidential adviser Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov reported that today Russia is carrying out attacks on Ukrainian territory using outdated piston-engine drones of the “Shahed” type. According to him, high cloud cover may make it difficult for interceptor crews to detect the drones.

Targets of the enemy strike

Telegram channels published video recordings of strike unmanned aerial vehicles, which are reportedly being tracked over Kyiv and the western regions of the country.

The Ukrainian military public page “Mykolaivskyi Vanyok” detailed the selected targets. According to the source’s data, the drones are aimed at substations (light and heat) or traction substations (railway).

As the public page notes, many aircraft were shot down, but a sufficient number still arrived.
