Historic change in Kansas Senate representation

Preliminary vote-counting data indicates that the US Democratic Party has won a Senate election in Kansas for the first time since 1932. This region, located in the central part of the country, is traditionally considered conservative.

According to Associated Press, cited by "European Truth", after more than 90% of ballots were processed, Democratic candidate Adam Hamilton was declared the winner. He received 51.3% of the votes, while incumbent Republican Senator Roger Marshall received 45.7%.

Results in Texas

A similar trend is observed in another traditionally Republican state — Texas, where Democratic representatives have not won Senate seats since 1988. This time, Democratic candidate James Talarico won.
