Parimatch clone emerges in Ukraine

Journalist Serhiy Ivanov has drawn attention to the emergence of a new bookmaker Parik24 in Ukraine, which, according to him, is a clone of the banned company Parimatch. In his post on Facebook, he noted that the new brand uses a similar style, marketing techniques and operational scheme, yet operates without a Ukrainian licence, hiding behind a so-called «глобальной лицензией» Кюрасао (global licence from Curaçao).

Old company – new name?

According to Ivanov, Parik24 is merely a new signboard for Parimatch to continue operations in circumvention of sanctions. The journalist claims that the company does not pay taxes in Ukraine and continues to transfer billions of hryvnias abroad.

«Parik24 – это та же самая букмекерская контора Parimatch, которая игнорирует санкции и продолжает зарабатывать в Украине» (Parik24 is the same Parimatch bookmaker, which ignores sanctions and continues to earn in Ukraine), Ivanov writes.

Questions for law enforcement

The journalist also questioned the actions of law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies, which, in his view, are not reacting to the emergence of a clone of a banned company. He asks how exactly Parik24 managed to start operations despite strict sanctions.

Previously, Ukrainian authorities banned Parimatch’s activities for 50 years, citing the fight against Russian influence in the gambling sector.
