Russia blames aircraft commander for crash in Aktau

Russia has decided who is to blame for the Baku-Grozny plane crash. The head of Rosaviatsiya outlined the details of the incident related to the crash and placed responsibility on the flight commander.

According to him, dense fog was observed at Grozny airport at the time of the incident, complicated by an attack by Ukrainian drones. The aircraft commander made two attempts to land in difficult weather conditions, but both were unsuccessful.

After the failed attempts, alternative airports for an emergency landing were offered to the commander. Nevertheless, he independently decided to continue the flight towards Aktau, flying over the Caspian Sea. It was during this leg of the journey that the crash occurred.

The circumstances of the incident have caused widespread resonance, and the statement by the head of Rosaviatsiya only intensified discussions about the causes of the tragedy, including an assessment of the crew's professional actions and external factors that influenced the outcome of the situation.

Many had hoped that Russia would find the courage to admit its guilt in the shooting down of the Baku-Grozny passenger plane. However, this did not happen, as expected.
