VSK finds grounds for repeat elections in Kryvyi Rih

Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oksana Syroyed stated today during a session of the Reconciliation Council that, following the review by the temporary special commission into possible fraud during the Kryvyi Rih mayoral election, a number of violations were identified that could serve as grounds for a repeat vote in the city.

Recall that, according to the results of the second round of the election, Yuriy Vilkul won. The margin of several thousand votes was secured exclusively due to a number of polling stations where there were no observers from the “Samopomich” party. Yuriy Mylobog won at all other polling stations.

Protest actions began in the city on 18 November and have not subsided to this day. Voters are demanding the holding of fair re-elections.
