Unknown assailants beat father of three in central Dnipro

Just over a week ago, a tragedy struck an ordinary large family in Dnipro. A group of intoxicated individuals, if they can be called that, brutally beat the head of the household, Roman Bachunov, in the city centre.

The man, suffering from numerous injuries, was taken to the intensive care unit of Mechnikov Hospital, where he underwent several major operations, the first of which took place on 10 October. Roman has a fracture of the base of the skull, his frontal bones were removed, and a tracheostomy and a shunt to drain excess fluid into the stomach were installed.

As of today, Roman is in a vegetative state and does not respond to those around him. The father of three beautiful daughters requires long-term rehabilitation. Unfortunately, the family's financial reserves are running out, while treatment and daily care require significant funds.

Roman's wife is on maternity leave and cannot leave their daughters, the youngest of whom is not yet one year old, as well as her seriously ill husband, to go to work.
