Russia threatens Ukraine with Iskanders

In response to yesterday's statement by National Security and Defence Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov regarding the possible deployment of US missile defence components on Ukrainian territory, some Russian experts publicly threatened the country with Iskanders as early as today.

Specifically, an analyst named Alexei Ramm stated that missile defence components are not a panacea and are quite vulnerable. They can easily be targeted by either a missile strike or the well-known Iskanders, which are allegedly greatly amused by statements from official Kyiv.

Furthermore, the analyst believes that the West is not intent on helping Ukraine defend its security, so Turchynov's statement should not be taken seriously.

It is worth noting that the Americans themselves also disavowed the deployment of missile defence in Ukraine yesterday.
