·         Base material. The product may be made of steel or aluminium. The latter is significantly lighter. However, aluminium is a soft metal that is prone to deformation. Steel structures are distinguished by high strength, as well as good thermal and sound insulation properties.

·         Finishing material. Various materials are used to give the surface an attractive appearance. In this case, the choice should be based on the overall style of the room. To save money, finishing can be applied only to the interior side.

·         Hinges. Ball-bearing hinges are preferred. Other types are unlikely to withstand the weight of a steel structure.

·         Security. To reduce the likelihood of unauthorised access, it is recommended to install anti-saw devices. These fittings significantly increase the time required to break in.

·         Airtightness. To improve thermal and sound insulation, sealing material is installed around the perimeter. This prevents heat loss and ensures a tight fit of the door leaf.

·         Locking system. Crab locks are considered the most reliable. It is also possible to install a lock with electronic control. Opening is done using a remote control. Breaking into such a system is quite difficult.

It is also important to pay attention to the thickness of the sheet steel used in manufacturing, the level of burglary resistance, and the presence of armour plates.

The metal must be treated with a special coating that protects it from moisture and other external factors.
