New road being built from Dnipro to Kyiv

Dnipro and Kyiv will be connected by a new modern motorway. Active work is currently underway on the construction of the Dnipro-Reshetylivka section of the highway. A four-lane motorway will replace the narrow, perpetually damaged road with a huge number of potholes. The road will bypass the settlements in Tsyurichan and Petrykivka districts.

Motorway advantages

Thanks to this, getting to the capital will be much easier and faster. At the same time, safety should improve, as there will be no settlements on the section. In other words, the highway is intended exclusively for intercity traffic. At the same time, the service life of road surfaces in small towns and villages will increase.

Currently, loaded lorries break down frequently and create traffic jams on the roads. The highway will solve this problem once and for all. Asphalt concrete pavement will be used to restore damaged sections of the roads. 

Features

The new highway will pass by Loboykivka, Petrykivka, Kytaihorod, and Tsyurichanka.

Construction began back in 2017. To date, 11 kilometres of the highway have already been laid. Municipal services are installing lighting masts, drainage systems, and curbs on the completed section.

The thickness of the road surface is 65 centimetres. Builders provide a 10-year warranty on the work. If damage occurs before this period, the contractor undertakes to eliminate all problems independently and at its own expense.

At the same time, additional control is carried out by Ukravtodor. Specialists regularly take samples of the pavement and examine them in a specialised laboratory.

Under the road surface, the contractor lays pipes in certain sections, intended for the free movement of water flows. This should positively affect the service life of the pavement.

According to specialists, this will be a high-quality motorway of European standard.

The total length of the highway will be 57 kilometres.
