Dnipro is rapidly drying up

Ecologists are sounding the alarm. According to them, the natural environment in Ukraine may change beyond recognition. This is due to the rapid drying up of the Dnipro River.

If no measures are taken, the steppe will be on the doorstep of the capital within two decades. In half a century, the Dnipro will become twice as shallow. This threatens a catastrophic water shortage in many regions.
