What the Kharkiv accident taught people

A few days ago, a traffic accident occurred in the centre of Kharkiv, resulting in five deaths and six others being hospitalised in the city. One of those responsible for the tragedy, Alena Zaitseva, has been detained for two months by court order.

One might have expected the incident to draw drivers' attention and, at least for a while, compel them to observe traffic rules. But no. Just two days after the tragedy, a black Mercedes G-Class with the registration number AH 0001 TO failed to stop at a red light at the same intersection, continuing to drive and creating a hazardous situation.

City residents are urging others to be cautious.
