Foreign units of the state enterprise 'Dokument' have temporarily suspended the acceptance of applications for the issuance of Ukrainian citizens' passports. The cause was a technical failure in the system.

Citizens' appeals

A Ukrainian citizen currently residing in Berlin reported difficulties in obtaining documents. According to her, the exact timeframe for the full restoration of the system's operation is currently unknown. It is known that individuals who already had scheduled visits for passport issuance are being offered to reschedule their appointments to late November or early December.

Position of the State Migration Service

The State Migration Service confirmed the existence of problems with the functioning of the information system. It was officially stated that technical work to restore full operation must be completed by the end of the current day.

User versions

Speculations have appeared on social media that the glitch is related to possible strikes on Ukrainian data centres. However, no official confirmation of this version has been provided by the competent authorities.
