Wizz Air says it is ready to resume flights to Ukraine

Low-cost carrier Wizz Air announced plans to resume air services with Ukraine six weeks after the end of hostilities. The company intends to restore around 30 routes that it operated before Russia's full-scale invasion.

This news came a week after a similar statement by Ryanair, whose management expressed hope that air travel to the country could begin as early as summer.

The readiness of the largest budget airlines to return to the Ukrainian market indicates the existence of specific strategies for restoring air connectivity as soon as it becomes possible to ensure flight safety.
