Risk of reduced sowing

The inability to restore agri-product exports may lead to a 35–40% reduction in sown areas in Ukraine. This was stated by Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotskyi in an interview with Politico.

According to him, the need to take such measures may arise as early as next spring.

Logistics channel restrictions

Currently, Ukraine is able to ship less than half of the required volume of products via rail, road, and river transport through Europe.

If the blockade of the Black Sea ports persists, up to 35 million tonnes of agri-products may remain in the country.
