New mechanisms for proving work history have been introduced in Ukraine. Citizens can now have their service verified even if they have lost their employment record book or if it lacks the relevant entries.

The role of register data and colleague testimony

As Koretsky stated, data from state registers will serve as the primary source of information. However, if service cannot be confirmed through documents or register entries, the testimony of former colleagues will be taken into consideration.

To do this, testimony must be provided by at least two employees who previously worked with the applicant. The Pension Fund will assist in locating such individuals.

Specific provisions for residents of combat zones

A separate procedure has been established for those who worked in temporarily occupied territories or areas of active hostilities. It is precisely in these locations that obtaining the necessary documents can be difficult.

The overall aim of the introduced changes is to facilitate the process for people who, due to the loss of documents or the consequences of the war, are unable to provide standard proof of their professional activity.
