Media reports claim Girkin is dead

According to reports from propagandistic Z-resources, former commander of armed formations Igor Girkin (also known as Strelkov) was found dead in a Russian prison. Unconfirmed data suggests that the cause of death may have been suicide.

Did he leave a suicide note?

Social media claims that Girkin left a note, although official Russian bodies have not yet commented on these reports. 

Nevertheless, a photo of the note has leaked online.
