Ushakov: New approaches by Ukraine and Europe to ending the war do not satisfy Russia

The Russian side expressed dissatisfaction with the updated proposals from Kyiv and European countries regarding the resolution of the war. At the same time, the Kremlin notes that European states have begun to take the search for ways to resolve the conflict more seriously.

Results of the negotiation process

This was stated by aide to the President of the Russian Federation, Yuri Ushakov. According to him, US presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff informed about new nuances that the American side felt during the negotiations in Oslo.

«Віткофф сказав, що на переговорах в Осло США відчули нові нюанси, але Росію вони повністю не задовольняють» (Witkoff said that at the Oslo talks the US felt new nuances, but they do not fully satisfy Russia), Ushakov noted.

Assessment of Europe's position

At the same time, the Russian presidential aide believes that European countries have changed their approach to the situation around Ukraine. In his words, Europeans have "почали думати серйозніше щодо української кризи" (begun to think more seriously about the Ukrainian crisis).
