Star of the film 'D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers' dies

Yuri Sherstnev, the star of the legendary film 'D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers', who played the role of the executioner from Lille, died yesterday, 12 May, in the Russian capital after a prolonged illness.

The actor was 76 years old. For several years, he suffered from obstructive lung disease, which became the cause of his death. On 12 May, the artist felt unwell, and his relatives called an ambulance; however, the medics did not manage to provide the star with assistance. Yuri Sherstnev died in his apartment.

The actor played several dozen roles in cinema.
