Ukraine and Poland are at the stage of preparing an agreement that will provide for the implementation of joint border and customs control. A key element of this document will be granting Ukrainian border guards and customs officers the ability to perform their duties directly on Polish territory.

Expected results of cooperation

The planned measures are aimed at optimising state border crossing processes. It is expected that joint control will significantly speed up border passage and improve coordination of actions between the relevant services of both countries.

In addition, this format of cooperation is set to ensure a faster response to potential security threats. Particular attention will be paid to situations related to Russian attacks.
