Strike on enemy infrastructure in Donetsk region
Military units of Ukraine's Defence Forces carried out a successful attack on positions of Russian occupation forces near the settlement of Mangush in Donetsk region. As a result of the strikes, critically important enemy objects were destroyed, including a command post and field ammunition depots.
The role of intelligence and the agent network
A key role in identifying these targets was played by agents of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar military movement "Atesh". It was they who helped Ukrainian fighters determine the exact location of the occupiers' military hub. Coordinates of the operational centre and depots were passed to Ukraine's Defence Forces, enabling a targeted strike.
The insider's story
The coordinator of this operation was a serviceman of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation who was mobilised in 2022. The man himself made contact with the "Atesh" movement, citing repeated harassment by the command as his motivation. Thanks to his data, it was possible to establish the location of an entire complex of military objects.
Consequences of the strike
Following the strike, the occupiers lost not only the command post but also launch sites. The attack also disrupted the communication system and coordination of actions among Russian army units. This significantly weakened the occupiers' ability to conduct fire on the relevant section of the front.
«Путін не планує зупиняти війну, незважаючи на величезні втрати, та проводить приховану мобілізацію. Російську армію та путінський режим необхідно зупинити заради загального блага» ("Putin does not plan to stop the war, despite huge losses, and is conducting hidden mobilisation. The Russian army and the Putin regime must be stopped for the common good"), "Atesh" emphasised.
