The Bachelor Ukraine contestant revealed to be gay

Many fans of The Bachelor Ukraine show were in for another shock yesterday evening. One of the show's participants came out. Andriy Khvetkevych admitted that he had gotten engaged. Moreover, his chosen partner was not a woman.  

The businessman stated that he was marrying a man. Some viewers had previously suspected Andriy of having a non-traditional sexual orientation. However, the show had carefully crafted an image for him – that of a macho. Furthermore, he portrayed his love for Zlata Ognivych, though not very convincingly.

The entrepreneur himself stated that he had been driven by stereotypes for a long time and had not been honest with himself. Right, right, we believe you. However, over the past year, he had thought a lot and realised that he was ready to tell the world about his orientation.

Followers of Khvetkevych's Instagram page bombarded him with angry comments. The show's organisers and the host – Hryhoriy Reshetnyk – also took flak, with the latter congratulating the businessman on his engagement.
