A series of explosions caused the collapse of a workshop at the Krasnozavodsk chemical plant, killing at least seven people.
A series of powerful explosions was recorded in the area of the city of Krasnozavodsk, located near Moscow. According to data disseminated by Russian Telegram channels, the emergency occurred on the territory of the Krasnozavodsk chemical plant. Witnesses to the incident reported that a thick column of smoke rose into the sky.
As a result of the explosions, of which there were at least three, the fourth workshop of the enterprise was completely destroyed. It was in this room that the plant's employees were present at the time of the accident. Later, the tragic consequences became known: seven people died.
According to the injured, at the moment of the collapse, there were more people in the workshop than were found among the dead. Currently, rescuers are trying to contain the fire, which continues to burn with open flames on the plant's territory.
The incident occurred on 1 October 2026.
