Energy crisis on the peninsula

Severe disruptions to electricity supply have engulfed the territories of occupied Crimea and Sevastopol. An acute electricity deficit has developed on the peninsula, leading to large-scale emergency disconnections. The situation is so critical that energy workers are unable to adhere even to pre-established schedules.

Operator acknowledges problems

Representatives of the company "Sevastopolenergo" acknowledged that due to a shortage of production capacity, it is impossible to ensure electricity disconnections strictly according to the schedule. This means that local residents risk being left without power outside of scheduled times.
