State Migration Service clarifies rules for issuing passports to men of conscription age abroad

The State Migration Service of Ukraine has established a new restriction for men of conscription age who are abroad. Obtaining or processing passport documents outside the state is now possible only on the condition of having a valid military registration record in the "Reserve+" electronic system.

Verification through electronic registers

As reported by the State Migration Service, the new requirement applies to citizens who apply to consular institutions for the processing or issuance of a passport. To confirm the right to receive the document, institution staff are obliged to verify the applicant's military registration status through the relevant electronic registers.

Thus, the absence of a current record in the "Reserve+" app will become an obstacle to the issuance of passport documents to men of conscription age abroad.
