Trump upset over Nobel Peace Prize decision and claims US merits

US President Donald Trump once again expressed dissatisfaction with the decision regarding the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize. He stated that the United States should have received this award for its diplomatic efforts and the resolution of international conflicts.

In his statements, the American leader questioned the choice of laureate and criticised the role of international institutions in peacekeeping processes.

Trump believes the US deserves the Nobel Peace Prize

According to Trump, his administration has achieved significant results in resolving international conflicts. He claims that the United States could have received the Nobel Peace Prize for each of the eight conflicts that, in his assessment, were successfully resolved.

The American president also stated that he does not understand the decision to award the prize to another candidate, whom he described as little-known. At the same time, Trump emphasised that he personally did not turn to the United Nations for assistance in his diplomatic initiatives.

Criticism of the UN and the decision on the laureate

A separate part of his remarks was dedicated to the UN. He stated that the organisation made no contribution to the achievements he attributes to his administration.

In the view of the US President, the decision not to award the prize to the United States indicates unfair treatment of the country. He also criticised Norway, linking its reputation to the decision regarding the award.

Trump called the committee's choice one that, in his belief, undermines the authority of the Nobel Peace Prize. He also accused those involved in making the decision of ideological bias.

US President claims eight potential awards

One of Trump's main arguments was the assertion that the results of his diplomatic activities could have been grounds for awarding multiple Nobel Peace Prizes at once.

He stated that the United States deserved a separate award for each of the eight conflicts that, according to him, were successfully resolved. However, these assessments are the position of the US President himself, not independent confirmation of the number or outcomes of the peace agreements.

Thus, Trump continues to publicly challenge the decision regarding the Nobel Peace Prize and insists that his administration's contribution to international diplomacy has not received due recognition.
