Singer TESLENKO made an unexpected statement: he decided to withdraw from the competition for the right to represent Ukraine at "Eurovision 2025" and focus on participating in the San Marino selection.

In Instagram stories, TESLENKO explained that his decision to withdraw from the Ukrainian contest was driven by a desire to avoid accusations of trying to draw attention to himself against the backdrop of scandals.

This situation unfolded amid resonant discussions about another long-list participant, ENLEO, who was criticised for a statement about listening to Russian music. TESLENKO had previously noted that he would withdraw his candidacy if ENLEO made the shortlist. However, TESLENKO himself found himself at the centre of controversy: he was accused of having performed at an event by blogger Anna Alkhim, known for popularising Russian culture.
