On 23 October 2026, the state enterprise Skhidny Mining and Beneficiation Combine (Ministry of Energy) officially ordered two underground dump trucks from Epiroc Ukraine LLC for a total value of UAH 54.53 million. The relevant data was published in the public procurement system Prozorro.
In accordance with the contract terms, the supplier is obliged to deliver the equipment to Kirovohrad Oblast by 30 September 2027. The order execution period is 300 days after receipt of the advance payment. The supply will be made on DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms.
The contract provides for the supply of two units of the Minetruck MT22 underground dump truck model. The price per unit was UAH 27.26 million, equivalent to EUR 541,000.
The ordered equipment, manufactured by the Polish company Epiroc Polska Sp. z o.o., is equipped with a 325 hp liquid-cooled Cummins QSL9 diesel engine. The main parameters of the machine are:
The equipment is capable of overcoming inclines in mine workings of at least 20%.
The contract value includes not only the supply but also the following works: supervisory assembly, disassembly, lowering into the mine shaft, assembly, commissioning, and start-up. Training of the customer's personnel is also provided for.
The payment scheme provides for an advance payment of 60% of the contract value. The remaining funds (40%) must be paid within two months after the supply of the equipment and the provision of the relevant services.
The warranty period is one year or 2,000 engine hours after the equipment is put into operation.
The market price for this specific dump truck model is currently unknown, as no other similar procurements of this model could be found in the Prozorro system.
However, it is known that SkhidGZK has previously cooperated with this supplier. In 2019, the combine ordered the previous model, the Minetruck MT2010, for UAH 13.15 million (EUR 471,000), and in 2018 for UAH 15.00 million (EUR 456,000). At that time, the equipment had a lower load capacity (20 tonnes) and body volume (10.0 cubic metres). Previous contracts also required a set of consumables (filters) for 1,000 engine hours, whereas hand tools were not included in the list.
The order was concluded without competition, as no other participants submitted bids to the open tender. Qualification criteria did not need to be applied. The winner was required to provide a passport or certificate from the manufacturer, a reference letter regarding the operation of similar equipment in Ukraine, and confirmation of the availability of a service department for repair and maintenance within the country.
Kyiv-based Epiroc Ukraine LLC belongs to the Swedish company Epiroc Rock Drills AB. During the period from 2017 to 2020, as well as from mid-2026, this entity received state contracts for a total amount of UAH 240.62 million.
