The Ukrainian cosmetics brand Sisters Aroma found itself in the spotlight after users spotted an image of an airline ticket to Moscow in one of its promotional email newsletters. A user of the social network Threads drew attention to this.
In the email, the company was advertising cosmetics for travel, but used a generated ticket with the destination being Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport (code SVO) for illustration. In addition, users noted the combination of the letters SVO, which in the Russian information space is associated with the designation of the full-scale war against Ukraine.
Later, a representative of the brand team, Yulia, explained the situation in the comments. According to her, she was the one who prepared the email newsletter and, after several difficult nights in Kyiv, did not notice the element automatically generated by artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, there was no official statement from Sisters Aroma under the post at that time.
