Condition for normalising contacts

Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski confirmed that the restoration of diplomatic relations between Warsaw and Moscow will become possible only after the complete end of the war in Ukraine.

Dependence on the opponent's actions

In his statement, Sikorski emphasised the direct link between the cessation of aggression and the further development of events in bilateral relations. "As soon as the Russians stop the war, we will start restoring relations. Some Polish politicians know well: if the other side changes its policy, we will change ours too," said the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry.

Thus, official Warsaw confirmed that steps towards improving interaction with Russia will depend on changes in the policy of the Russian side.
