Following the end of Halloween celebrations in Poland, a wave of alarming reports from parents has been observed. Residents of the country are sharing information on social media that dangerous objects were found in the sweets collected by children during the traditional "Trick or Treat" game.
According to relatives, needles and other sharp metal objects were found inside the confectionery products. Among the finds, sewing needles and thick metal pins are mentioned.
Similar incidents have been recorded in several cities. In particular, in Poznań, in the Świerzewo district, one family reported finding a needle in a sweet. Similar warnings came from Goważewo and Bolimów. In the case of Bolimów, the police officially confirmed receiving the relevant report.
Photographs of suspicious sweets were published by residents of Białystok, the Bielany district of Warsaw, Bolechowo, Podczela, Żeszniwkowo and Gryfice.
It is worth noting that not all reports published online have been confirmed by law enforcement agencies. It is currently unknown whether there is a connection between these cases, or who exactly may have placed dangerous objects in the sweets.
Parents are urged to carefully inspect all the sweets their children collected on Halloween before allowing them to eat the treats. Particular attention should be paid to damaged packaging, puncture marks, and foreign objects inside.
If a suspicious sweet is found, it is recommended to keep it together with the packaging and report the find to the police.
