Change in shipment storage conditions

Nova Poshta has announced a reduction in the free storage period for shipments in its branches. According to information published by the operator's press service, from 1 October this period will be five days instead of the previous seven.

Justification for the decision

Nova Poshta emphasises that this initiative is a forced reaction to existing security threats. Company representatives state that accelerating the process of receiving shipments has become a key factor in protecting clients' property.

«Сьогодні швидкість отримання відправлень є запорукою безпеки. В умовах постійних ворожих атак на цивільну інфраструктуру що менше часу відправлення перебуває у відділенні, то нижчий ризик його втрати чи пошкодження» (Today, the speed of receiving shipments is a guarantee of security. In the context of constant enemy attacks on civilian infrastructure, the less time a shipment spends in a branch, the lower the risk of its loss or damage), the press service noted.

Which categories of goods are subject to the new rules

The updated five-day free storage regulation will apply to a wide range of shipments: documents, parcels, cargo, as well as tyres and rims. Meanwhile, the conditions for palletised cargo remain unchanged: their free storage period continues to be three days.

Collection statistics

The company is confident that most clients will not notice these changes in practice. According to Nova Poshta's internal statistics, 97% of shipments are collected by citizens within the first five days, so the new restrictions will not affect the usual collection process.
