German Education Minister Karin Prien sharply criticised US President Donald Trump. The reason for such a reaction was his calls for a change of president in Ukraine, as well as the conclusion of an agreement to purchase Russian diesel fuel.
Reaction on social media
Prien wrote about her position on her X account. She commented on a publication in German media outlets, which discussed the latest statements by the American leader.
Trump's accusations
Earlier, Donald Trump stated that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had decided not to end the war in Ukraine, despite having several opportunities to do so. To conclude, he said: "Я думаю, що Україні час змінити президента" ("I think it's time for Ukraine to change its president").
Trump also accused Zelenskyy of contributing to a diesel fuel shortage by striking the Russian energy sector.
Minister's response
Commenting on an article in German media about Trump's statements, Karin Prien wrote: "Заради кількох літрів дизельного палива. Яке моральне банкрутство" ("For a few litres of diesel fuel. What moral bankruptcy").
