The Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) has published poll results indicating a split in public opinion regarding the effectiveness of the authorities' actions on the path to European integration. According to the study data, the level of support for Ukraine's accession to the European Union among citizens has slightly decreased over the past year.

Divergence in assessments of state performance

Half of the respondents, i.e. 50% of those polled, are convinced that the authorities are not fulfilling their commitments regarding EU accession. At the same time, almost as many, specifically 46% of the poll participants, hold the opposite view and believe that the state is honouring the obligations it has undertaken.

Number of categorical positions

Sociologists note that a significantly smaller number of citizens give harsh, uncompromising assessments. Only 4% of respondents claim that the authorities are fully fulfilling all their commitments. In contrast, 16% of those polled believe that the state is not meeting any of the conditions necessary for accession to the European Union.
