New details have emerged regarding the burial of Anatoly Kashpirovsky. According to Russian media, the body of the renowned psychotherapist is already being transported from Moscow to Ukraine. Sources claim the route passes through European Union countries.
However, there is currently no official confirmation of this information. It remains unknown whether the body is indeed in transit and where exactly it will be buried.
Vinnytsia is named as the primary candidate for the burial site. Preliminary information suggests that the graves of Kashpirovsky's parents and his eldest daughter, Olena, who was born from his first marriage, are located there.
The choice of this city is logically explained by the hypnotist's biography. Although he was born in the village of Stavnitsia in the Letychiv district of Khmelnytskyi Oblast, he spent a significant part of his life in Vinnytsia, where he lived and worked for a long time.
Anatoly Kashpirovsky's death was announced on 3 October 2026. Among the first to publish the information on social media was Russian TV presenter Andriy Malakhov.
The deceased's director, Serhiy Rudykh, stated that Kashpirovsky had been in hospital shortly before his death. According to him, the cause of hospitalisation was a sharp drop in blood pressure. The renowned psychotherapist was 87 years old at the time of his death.
Kashpirovsky's popularity peaked in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Millions of viewers watched his television appearances, where he demonstrated so-called healing sessions.
Initially, his on-screen appearances were accompanied by broadcasts of surgical operations that were allegedly performed without anaesthesia. The hypnotist claimed to influence patients remotely, relieving their pain.
Later, the former doctor began organising mass sessions of psychological influence in Ukraine, the Russian Federation, other former Soviet countries, and the United States. His activities provoked varied reactions, ranging from belief in the effectiveness of his methods to criticism from the medical community. Kashpirovsky became a symbol of an era when society was actively interested in extrasensory perception and non-traditional treatment methods.
