Burial took place without public announcement

On 13 October, the burial of Anatoly Kashpirovsky, who gained widespread attention in the late 1980s due to television hypnosis sessions, took place on the territory of the Central Cemetery in Vinnytsia. The burial site was chosen near the graves of his close relatives: his parents, Mykhailo and Yadwiga, as well as his daughter, Olena.

According to sources, information about the specific time and place of the burial had not been previously disclosed. The body was delivered to the cemetery on 13 October.

Reaction from historian Vakhtang Kipiani

Ukrainian publicist, historian and military figure Vakhtang Kipiani expressed dissatisfaction with this decision. In his comment, he drew attention to a series of similar cases:

"Спочатку в Києві закопали лідера російської партії Союз Мірімского на Байковому. Тепер це. Наступні вашеблагородієТабачник чи кум Путіна Медведчук в центрі столиці? Бо вони напишуть про це в заповіті" (First, the leader of the Russian party Soyuz, Mirimsky, was buried in Kyiv at Baikove. Now this. Next, your honourable Tabachnyk or Putin's godson Medvedchuk in the centre of the capital? Because they will write about it in their wills), Kipiani emphasised.

Kashpirovsky's life path and career

Anatoly Kashpirovsky was born on 11 August 1939 in the village of Stavnytsia in Khmelnytskyi Oblast. He completed his educational trajectory in 1962 after graduating from the Vinnytsia Medical Institute.

From 1963 to 1988, he worked as a psychotherapist in the psychiatric department of the Vinnytsia Regional Psychoneurological Hospital named after Academician Oleksandr Yushchenko. In total, Kashpirovsky dedicated 25 years of service to medicine.

He became known to a wide audience in the Soviet Union in the late 1980s through television "health sessions". During the broadcasts, Kashpirovsky applied methods of hypnosis and suggestion, while television viewers turned to him with various health problems.

Later, he acquired Russian citizenship and held the position of a deputy in the State Duma of Russia from the faction of Vladimir Zhirinovsky's Liberal Democratic Party.

Informational context

It was previously reported that rumours about the possible burial of Anatoly Kashpirovsky in Vinnytsia became a trigger for the spread of anti-Ukrainian manipulations in the Russian information space. While Russian media relayed conflicting versions regarding the transfer of the body of the former tele-hypnotist, propaganda resources were already linking this story to Ukrainian officials, the church, and Hitler's headquarters "Werewolf". At the same time, there was no independent confirmation in the cited sources at that time that the body had been brought to Ukraine and a burial site had been determined.
