On the evening of 12 October, a tragic accident occurred in Odesa in which 35-year-old Olha Mykolaivna Vraholeva died. The woman, who headed the "Zarychanskyi Family" restaurant chain, sustained severe injuries and was hospitalised, but died in the intensive care unit of the hospital on 14 October.
The death of Olha was publicly announced by the owner of the establishments, Inara Zarychanskyi. In a statement on behalf of the staff, she expressed condolences to relatives and loved ones, calling the loss irreparable, but did not disclose details of the circumstances of the accident.
Photographs of documents containing preliminary information about the incident have leaked to the media. According to them, the traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Dacha Street and Lvivska Street. The materials state that Olha was driving a BMW C 400 GT motorcycle, failed to maintain control, and crashed into the concrete fence of a private house. A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Sources in law enforcement agencies in Kyiv provide a different picture of the events. According to their data, Inara Zarychanskyi's son — serviceman Zakhary Zarychanskyi, who is likely the owner of the vehicle — was on the motorcycle with Olha. It is this man who, according to this version, may have been at the wheel at the moment of the collision.
According to sources, shortly before the tragedy, Zakhary arrived at the restaurant where Olha was and offered her a ride. There is currently no independent confirmation of these facts, so the investigation must draw final conclusions.
It is known that on the day of the incident, Zakhary Zarychanskyi was on leave, which was confirmed by his military unit. The editorial team is clarifying the circumstances of obtaining this confirmation.
To fully understand the circumstances of the accident, it is necessary to establish who owned the motorcycle, who exactly was driving it, and whether there were any witnesses or preserved recordings from video surveillance cameras and dashcams in the area of the traffic accident.
If the presence of Zakhary Zarychanskyi is confirmed, additional questions will arise: did he seek medical help, did he have injuries, and did he undergo a test for alcohol intoxication. It is also important to find out what expert examinations have been appointed in the case and whether the technical condition of the motorcycle has been examined.
Information indicates that not only Zakhary, but also his father, Andriy Zarychanskyi, have repeatedly been involved in traffic accidents while intoxicated. In particular, in April 2014, the Primorsky District Court of Odesa considered administrative case No. 522/5666/14-p, which involved an incident with Andriy Zarychanskyi driving a vehicle in an intoxicated state.
Currently, law enforcement agencies are continuing to verify all versions. The media are preparing requests to the Odesa Regional Police and are trying to obtain comments from Zakhary Zarychanskyi and representatives of his family. For the relatives of the deceased, it is important that no significant circumstance is overlooked by the investigation.
